The first game consoles all came out in the 1970s and were essentially Pong clones. Basically, the only games these consoles could play were tennis (generic pong) and its variants. However, some consoles had target shooting games and could even be played in color.
Those old consoles paved the way for today's game consoles, which have come a long way in just a few decades.

With all the imitations of the Pong home console, another electronics manufacturer, Commodore, decided in 1975 with the release of theCommodore 2000K and 3000H TV set. Both Commodore TV game consoles were released after Commodore acquired MOS Technology, which made electronic chips.
TV Game models are 2000K and 3000Halmost identical. However, the 2000K has an additional port, a black plastic casing, and no built-in controller; the 3000H had an integrated controller and an additional port for a second controller.
There were four games available for the Commodore TV Game series, including tennis, soccer, squash, and the game of crosshairs, which could be played with the optional optic gun.

Like each of the first game consoles on this list, theFun on APF TVit was a pong clone. TV Fun was produced by APF Electronics, which made calculators and other small electronic devices, and was built in Japan. APF Electronics initially manufactured several models of TV FunModel 401in April 1976.
Along with Coleco's Telstar, APF TV Fun was one of the first consoles to use General Instruments' AY-3-8500 chip. The chip contained various versions of ball and paddle (pong) games, allowing other manufacturers to compete with Atari's Home Pong. APF TV Fun was quite expensive, retailing for around $125.

While there were several consoles on the European market at the time, including the Magnavox Odyssey, the Dutch electronics maker released its own home gaming console, theTelegame ES-2201Late 1975. The telegame was a cartridge-based system and only came with the tennis cartridge.
The tele game was priced high at around €60 and each additional game cartridge was sold separately. Extra game cartridges on top of an expensive system contributed to poor sales and Telegame's unpopularity. Although the first official home console for Pong wasn't released until 1975, all previous game consoles contained one game (and variations), tennis, which was essentially Pong.
Pong finally entered the home video game market in time for Christmas 1975 with the release of Home Pong, which was sold by Sears. Home Pong was compiled by Atari, but sold under the Sears Tele-Games label. Sears ordered 150,000 units, and every one sold.

Epoch's Electrotennis was Japan's first game console, and like all other first-generation consoles, Electrotennis had virtually only one game available, tennis. In Japan, electric tennis was known simply as television tennis.
One of the coolest features of Epoch's Electrotennis was that the console was completely wireless, the first and only of its kind at the time.
The electric tennis console is powered by four batteries and comes with a small receiver that needs to be connected to a television. With its built-in antenna, the electric tennis console sent a signal to the receiver, allowing the system to work wirelessly.

OVideoSport MK2is another relatively well-known international analog video game console. It was released in late 1974 or early 1975 by Henry's, a UK hifi and television retailer. VideoSport MK2 was one of the first European consoles to play tennis, and was very similar in design to early American game consoles.
Henry sold the VideoSport MK2 for around £34.72 + VAT (£344.42 in 2018) and discontinued the console in late 1976 or early 1977. In the few years it was on the market, over 10,000 units were sold from VideoSport MK2.

This old European console was designed and manufactured byvideo master, which was probably the first video game company in England. Videomaster produced various home systems between 1974 and 1979.
One of the unique things about the first Videomaster Home T.V. and the others that followed were sold fully assembled or as a kit, allowing people to assemble the console themselves. The Videomaster Home TV Game was almost identical to all home consoles at the time, and of course had tennis as the game, plus a few variations.
